A crowd of people was walking along the Anchorage mud flats to see a 50-foot-long Fin Whale washed ashore. Scientists on Monday continued to find out how the animal died and when it died. The whale is a young female that is a yearling or a juvenile. The scientists figure that the whale died recently because the inside of the whale was still warm, but they will have to talk to hunters because they know more about hunting in the cold and how fast they cool down.
