Since September 16, Donald Trump has made deals with 16 drug companies to lower their prices. Despite this, the pharmaceutical companies rolled out higher price hikes for their drugs. Drug companies, including the 16 companies who had made the deal with Trump, raised prices of 872 brand-name drugs in the first two weeks of 2026, with the biggest raise from Pfizer, having raised the price of 72 products in January.
