The USA is trying to ban TikTok because they are scared that the Chinese government can get private information form it. The USA will not go through with the ban if a non-Chinese organization buys it from ByteDance. ByteDance is the company that owns TikTok. TikTok has also been a national security concern for government officials for several years.
